DescriptionGreen lead-glazed vase with a tall neck and slightly flaring rim, partially preserved. The body of the vessel is in the form of a head of a man. The man has short hair with curls and is clean shaven. His lips are parted to reveal a single row of square teeth. Some areas of the face are reconstructed or filled with tinted plaster, including part of the side of the head, the right forehead, right ear, left eye, lower lip and chin of the figure. In the preserved eye, the pupil and iris are lightly indicated and the figure looks upward. There is a slight upward tilt to the entire head of the figure as well. The vase ends at the base of the neck without a separate foot and the underside is also glazed.
